Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Director of the Department of Development to modify the current Abuse Intervention programs contract with the Franklin County Mental Health (ADAMH) Board in order to continue the provision of services for an additional 12 months. The total amount of this modification is $258,149.00.
This ordinance represents a program to be funded following the Department of Development's competitive procurement process. The legislation targets a social service agency that will provide help to families and households through access to counseling and treatment services. In addition, the city supports programs and activities so that the greater population is assured access to information, technical and other community assistance. This funding will allow the process to continue.
FISCAL IMPACT: $258,148 has been allocated from the General Fund for this purpose. In 2006, a total of $3,303,292.00 has been allocated to fund social service programs through the General Fund.
