Explanation
Section 20.2 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Communications Workers of America, (CWA) Local 4502 and the City of Columbus, April 24, 2023 through April 23, 2026, requires that any modifications to the Agreement be agreed to by the parties. The parties have executed Memorandum of Understanding #2025-01 to amend Appendix B (classification listing) by creating the Power Distribution Line Supervisor II classification within the Department of Public Utilities and assigning the Pay Grade as follows:
Power Distribution Line Supervisor II (Job Code 3580): Pay Grade 58
The Power Distribution Line Supervisor II shall be overtime exempt for FLSA purposes (E Class).
The passage of this ordinance indicates City Council’s approval of Memorandum of Understanding #2025-01, a copy of which is attached hereto.
Emergency action is recommended in order to allow for expedient implementation.

WHEREAS, representatives of the City of Columbus and the Communications Workers of America (CWA), Local 4502, entered into Memorandum of Understanding #2025-01, a copy of which is attached hereto, to amend Appendix B of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, dated April 24, 2023 through April 23, 2026; and
WHEREAS, Memorandum of Understanding #2025-01 amends Appendix B of the Collective Bargaining Agreement by creating and assigning pay to the Power Distribution Line Supervisor II in the Department of Public Utilities; and
