Title
To recognize and congratulate Mr. Dan L. Heinlen on his retirement from the Ohio State University Alumni Association, Inc. on this 13th day of September, 2003.
Body
WHEREAS, Dan has selflessly served as the President and CEO of the more than 122,000 member OSU Alumni Association since August of 1973; and
WHEREAS, Dan has over 38 years of service to The Ohio State University and has held key positions such as secretary of the Association's Board of Directors, the Alumni Advisory Council, and the Ohio State Student Loan Foundation, Inc. Additionally, he is an ex-officio member of The Ohio State University Foundation Board and the University Trustees' Government Affairs and Outreach and Engagement committees; and
WHEREAS, Dan has had a long and distinguished career and although he has chosen move on, his legacy will forever live on and his dedication will serve as the example for all others to follow; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does hereby recognize and congratulate Mr. Dan Heinlen for his many years of dedication and service to the Ohio State University community.
