In memory of Charlene White.

Body

Columbus City Council extends sincere condolences to the family and friends of Charlene White on this sorrowful occasion of her passing.

Charlene's loving kindness was felt in her home as well as the halls of Columbus Public Schools where she served for more than 30 years. Her classroom and office served as a safe haven for many Columbus Youth and gave her a chance to do what she did best, love and serve those that needed it most.

As a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated she served her community in a number of service projects and developed a bond with her sorority sisters that will continue for years to come.

As we continue in the Lords service, Char Baby's legacy can live on in each of us through the words of wisdom that she has provided. As we reflect on her life and how fortunate we were to have been touched by an angel such as Charlene, let us remember "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints."

Now let us comfort one another with the love of the Lord and in the knowledge that Charlene has fought the good fight and finished her course. Henceforth, there is laid up for her a crown of righteousness.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

That this Council does hereby pay tribute to the memory of a truly honorable woman, Charlene White
