Title: To authorize the Director of the Development Department to sign, as an owner, the plat titled "Northland Park Avenue Dedications and Easements"; to accept said plat from the City of Columbus and Columbus Urban Growth Corporation; and to declare an emergency.
Explanation

The City of Columbus by Boyce Safford III, Director of the Development Department and Columbus Urban Growth Corporation by Mark Froehlich, President and CEO have submitted the plat titled "Northland Park Avenue Dedications and Easements" to the City Engineer's Office for review and approval. This plat has been reviewed and approved by the City Engineer. The following legislation allows the City to accept said plat for property located south of Morse Road and west of Tamarack Boulevard.

Emergency Justification: Emergency action is requested to allow development of the abutting lands to proceed as currently scheduled.

To authorize the Director of the Development Department to sign, as an owner, the plat titled "Northland Park Avenue Dedications and Easements"; to accept said plat from the City of Columbus and Columbus Urban Growth Corporation; and to declare an emergency.


Body

WHEREAS, the City of Columbus is the fee owner of approximately 51.955 acres of land conveyed to the City by deed of record in Instrument Number 200301300039458, Recorder's Office, Franklin County, Ohio; and

WHEREAS, by virtue of a Memorandum of Lease of record in Instrument Number 20031229040389, Recorder's Office, Franklin County, Ohio, Columbus Urban Growth Corporation, an Ohio non-profit corporation, has a leasehold interest in these lands; and

WHEREAS, the plat titled "Northland Park Avenue Dedications and Easements" (hereinafter "plat"), has been submitted to the City Engineer's Office for approval and acceptance; and

WHEREAS, The City of Columbus by Boyce Safford III, Director of the Development Department and Columbus Urban Growth Corporation by Mark Froehlich, President and CEO, owners of the platted land, desire to dedicate to the public use all or such parts of the Avenue and easements shown on said plat and not heretofore so dedicated; and

WHEREAS, after examination, it has been found to be in the best interest of the City...
