Explanation
The purpose of this ordinance is to authorize the Director of Finance and Management to enter into a purchase order with Applied Industrial Technologies, Inc. for the purchase of Replacement Pumps & Motors for the Blacklick Booster Station for the Division of Power and Water, Control Center. The lowest, responsive, responsible bidder is Applied Industrial Technologies, Inc. at $60,225.54. They do not have MBE/FBE status.
The Purchasing Office opened formal bids on July 24, 2008. Ten (10) bids were received. A tabulation of that bid is available on the attached recommendation letter.

Fiscal Impact: This project was not budgeted in the division's operating budget for 2008; however, expenditures will be reprioritized to accommodate this expenditure without increasing the existing budget.
