Title: To authorize the Director of the Department of Development to execute any and all necessary agreements and deeds for conveyance of title of forty-two (42) parcels of real property held in the Land Reutilization Program to Habitat for Humanity, Mid-Ohio.
Explanation

BACKGROUND: Authorization is needed for the Director of the Department of Development to enter into an agreement to sell and transfer forty-two parcels currently held in the Land Bank to Habitat for Humanity Mid-Ohio. The Land Redevelopment Division has worked with Habitat for over the last twenty years reserving parcels for their ongoing construction projects. This legislation includes 25 additional lots in Linden, where they have sold 150 affordable housing units, mostly on land bank parcels. Additionally, they will construct two family and multi-family buildings on some of the lots, expanding the housing types from their traditional single family builds. Construction on these vacant parcels will occur over the next three years. The parcels will be transferred by deed recorded in the Official Records of the Franklin County Recorder’s Office.

FISCAL IMPACT: The City may first recover reimbursement of any and all expenses incurred on account of the acquisition, administration, management, maintenance and disposition of such land and such other expenses of the program as the City may apportion to such land from the sale proceeds.
