To Recognize and Celebrate The Breathing Association’s 10th Annual Mother’s Day Luncheon in the City of Columbus

 

Body

WHEREAS, the Breathing Association celebrates the 10th Annual Mother’s Day Luncheon on May 11th, 2017 to celebrate all the important women that have supported their mission throughout the years; and

WHEREAS, the Breathing Association serves the City of Columbus as the leading source for promoting lung health and preventing lung disease through education, detection, service, and treatment; and

WHEREAS, that mission is fulfilled in their Lung Health Clinic, Home Energy Assistance and Home Outreach programs by providing exemplary services to people who are suffering from lung and breathing disorders; and

WHEREAS, for the past decade the Breathing Association has partnered with health care professionals, businesses, donors and community leaders to educate Columbus residents about the devastating impacts of lung disease and to support Breathing Association programs; and

WHEREAS, the Breathing Association will continue to forecast long-term community lung health needs by advocating for positive community wide approaches that will create and provide population specific education and treatments services for many low-income and minority populations maximizing the health and quality of life for all affected; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

That this Council does hereby recognize and celebrate The Breathing Association’s 10th Annual Mother’s Day Luncheon and its contribution to the City of Columbus on this day, May 11th, 2017.
