Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to establish a Universal Term Contract (UTC) for the option to purchase Refuse Truck Parts with Best Equipment Co., Inc. The Division of Fleet Management is the primary user for Refuse Truck Parts. Refuse Truck Parts are used to repair and maintain City refuse vehicles. Best Equipment Co., Inc. is the sole source for these parts as they are the only local distributor for Labrie Enviroquip products, including Labrie, Leach and Wittke. Pricing was obtained by published price list. The term of the proposed option contract would be approximately two (2) years, expiring March 31, 2027, with the option to renew for one (1) additional year. In addition, the expenditure of $1.00 is hereby authorized from General Budget Reservation BRPO003264.

FISCAL IMPACT: The expenditure of $1.00 is hereby authorized from General Budget Reservation BRPO003264.
