Explanation
1. BACKGROUND
This ordinance authorizes the Director of Finance and Management, on behalf of the Director of Public Service, to associate all General Budget Reservations resulting from this ordinance with the appropriate Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreement for the purchase of five (5) Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Automated Side Loading (ASL) Waste Trucks. This purchase has been approved by the Division of Fleet Management.
The Department of Public Service, Division of Refuse Collection, uses ASL trucks in city-wide residential trash pick-up. The Department of Public Service and Fleet Management recognize the need to replace older trucks in its fleet beyond the useful service life of the vehicle. This purchase will replace five (5) refuse trucks that have reached the end of their useful service life. Five (5) Mack LR64R / Labrie 20+6 CNG Atomizer w/75 DGE tanks Automated Side Loading refuse trucks.
The following Purchase Agreement association requires approval by City Council in order for the Division to expend more than $100,000.00 in a fiscal year per City Code 329.19(g):
Columbus Truck & Equipment Center LLC dba McMahon Truck Center of Columbus: Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreement, PA005650, Ordinance 3096-2021, for Automated Side Loading CNG Trucks.
Columbus Truck & Equipment Center LLC dba McMahon Truck Center of Columbus is not debarred according to the Excluded Party Listing System of the Federal Government or prohibited from being awarded a contract according to the Auditor of State Unresolved Findings for Recovery Certified Search.
2. CONTRACT COMPLIANCE INFORMATION
The contract compliance number for Columbus Truck & Equipment Center LLC dba McMahon Truck Center of Columbus is CC008547 and expired 11/9/2022. The vendor will need to update their registration before a purchase order can be established.
3. FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding is available, appropriated and budgeted within the Refuse Bond Fund, Fund 7703.
