Title: To authorize the Finance and Management Director to renew an Universal Term Contract for the option to purchase Serv Safe Educational Materials with National Restaurant Association.
Explanation
BACKGROUND: This legislation authorizes the Finance and Management Director to renew an existing Universal Term Contract (UTC) for the option to purchase Serv Safe Educational Materials with National Restaurant Association. This contract provides the Health Department with educational materials used to train and test local food business on proper food processing, handling and preparation.

The contract, PO107565 was established in accordance with Request for Quotation RFQ007732 and authorized under Ordinance Number 0463-2018 and will expire March 30, 2020. In accordance with the bid specifications, the City and National Restaurant Association can renew the contract for an additional one year term subject to mutual agreement and approval of proper City Authorities.


FISCAL IMPACT: No funding is required to renew the option contracts. All City agencies must set aside their own funding for their estimated expenditures.

Body

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Office entered into a Universal Term Contract for Serv Safe Educational Materials for use by the Health Department; and

WHEREAS, this contract was entered into in accordance with Chapter 329 of the Columbus City Code, pursuant to solicitation RFQ007732 with National Restaurant Association deemed the most responsive, responsible and best bidder, and

WHEREAS, in accordance with the bid specifications, the City and National Restaurant Association can renew the contract for an additional one year period, subject to mutual agreement and approval of proper City authorities; and

WHEREAS, it has become necessary in the usual daily operation of the Health Department to authorize the Finance and Management Director to renew the Universal Term Contract with National Restaurant Association for the option to purchase...
