Explanation

Background: This ordinance authorizes the Finance and Management Director to associate all General Budget Reservations resulting from this ordinance with the following Universal Term Contracts for maintenance on behalf of the Facilities Management Division, in order to repair and maintain various City buildings under the purview of the Facilities Management Division. All related purchase orders will be issued from Universal Term Contracts previously established by the City of Columbus, Purchasing Office.

Emergency Designation: Emergency action is requested so that purchase orders can be established as quickly as possible to ensure an uninterrupted continuation of services to ensure the safety and upkeep of various City buildings.

Fiscal Impact: The Facilities Management Division 2024 general fund budget has sufficient funding to cover this expenditure. The Facilities Management Division budgeted $2,300,000.00 in the 2023 general fund budget for these services. Contingent upon passage of Ordinance 2998-2024.
