Explanation
BACKGROUND
This ordinance authorizes the Administrative and Presiding Judge of the Franklin County Municipal Court to accept two grants totaling $749,121.00 from OneOhio Recovery Foundation and appropriate them from the unappropriated balance of the private grant fund. The first grant ($297,000) will pay for assessors in the MARCH Program. The second grant ($452,121) will pay the salaries for additional drug lab technicians.
Emergency Legislation is requested so we can buy the necessary equipment for new staff from the grant before they start. Otherwise, it will have to be purchased from another fund, and expenditure corrections will need to be completed to move the charges back to the grant.
FISCAL IMPACT: $749,121.00 will be expended from the Private Grant Fund.
