To Recognize and Celebrate the Centennial High School Girls Basketball Team for Winning Back-to-Back City League Championships.

Body
WHEREAS, the Centennial High School Girls Basketball program has established a standard of excellence, demonstrating that success is the result of relentless hard work, discipline, and a unified vision; and
WHEREAS, the Stars have once again ascended to the top of the Columbus City League, capturing back-to-back league titles and proving their dominance on the court through a season defined by grit and sportsmanship; and
WHEREAS, this sustained success is a testament to the leadership and tactical expertise of Head Coach Ernest Bell, and Varsity Assistants Bobby Witcher, Maddy Miles, Kevin Houston and Steve Anderson. These coaches, whose commitment to developing both the skill and character of their players have built a championship culture at Centennial High School; and
WHEREAS, this legacy began with the historic 2024-2025 team, whose inaugural championship season set the foundation for this era of dominance, led by the skill and determination of student-athletes Sufiyyah Ford, Madison Borojevich, Cooper Neff, Kennedy Houston, Celia Kundishora, Jayla Benjamin, Aza Corbett, Chloe Perkins, Claire Trost, Kayla Houston, and Katelin Izzo; and
WHEREAS, the 2025-2026 championship roster-comprised of Taleah Jones, Isabel Tucker, Kennedy Houston, Brianna Vasquez, Naliyah Knight, Jayla Benjamin, Nileah Pollard, Chloe Perkins, Sarah Hamga, Ahlam Mohammed, Tiana Colvin, and Arianna Langston demonstrated exceptional chemistry, talent, and heart throughout their title defense; and

WHEREAS, this historic achievement reflects the tireless dedication of the student-athletes and the unwavering support of the Centennial High School faculty, students, and Columbus community; and
