Explanation
BACKGROUND: This ordinance authorizes the Finance and Management Director to enter into contract for the Facilities Management Division with eS Architecture and Development, Inc., in the amount of $14,000.00 for the design and construction administration of the renovation of exterior masonry at 1371 Cleveland Avenue (Police Precinct #5) and 930 East Main Street (Police Precinct #12). Currently, rain is penetrating all sides of the building, causing water damage to ceiling tiles, and leading to the potential for mold damage.
eS Architecture and Development, Inc. was selected under the provisions of Columbus City Codes 329.10.
Emergency action is requested to allow this project to proceed in a timely manner so that the exterior masonry in these two Police precincts will be repaired without delay, mitigating any further water damage.
Fiscal Impact: The Facilities Management Division has sufficient funds within the Facilities Management Capital Improvement Fund for this project. The bond sale included $544,542.00 for various projects. eS Architecture and Development, Inc. Contract Compliance Number 31-1448505, exp. 11/29/2007.
