Title: To amend Ordinance 0207-2017 in order to correct the name of the right-of-way to be vacated; and to declare an emergency.
Explanation
1. BACKGROUND
The purpose of this ordinance is to amend Ordinance 0207-2017 in order to correct the name of the right-of-way to be vacated.

The purpose of Ordinance 0207-2017 was to authorize the Director of Public Service to vacate an approximate 1,965 square foot portion of the unnamed 10 foot wide east/west right-of-way west of South Mead Alley between West Chapel and West Town Streets.

The reason that Public Service is requesting this amendment is the original legislation 0207-2017, passed by Council on February 13, 2017 and signed by the Mayor on February 15, 2017, incorrectly named the location as May Avenue when it should have been named Mead Alley.

2. FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact to the City for this amendment.

3. EMERGENCY DESIGNATION
Emergency action is requested so that the re-development of the right-of-way may proceed without delay.
