Background:
The Delaware County Board of Commissioners wishes to apply for Clean Oho Trail Funds from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for the Delaware County Trail, Plumb Road to Galena. The City of Columbus is is support of this application.

To support the application of the Delaware County Board of Commissioners for Clean Ohio Trail Funds from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for the Delaware County Trail, Plumb Road to Galena, and to declare an emergency.
Body
Whereas, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources is accepting applications for grant funding from the Clean Ohio Trails Fund; and
Whereas, the Delaware County Board of Commissioners wishes to apply for said funding for development of the Delaware County Trail, Plumb Road to Galena; and
Whereas, Portions of the trail are on Columbus Property at Hoover Reservoir and The City of Columbus recognizes the important value of this regional greenway; and,
Whereas, Delaware County will be responsible for future maintenance of the improvements; and,
Whereas, The City of Columbus will share in the project costs, an amount to be appropriated in future legislation; and,
Whereas, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Recreation and Parks Department in that is immediately necessary to apply for said grant for the preservation of public health, peace, property, and safety; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
Section 1. That this Council does hereby support the application of the Delaware County Board of Commissioners for Clean Ohio Trail Funds from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources for the Delaware County Trail, Plumb Road to Galena.
