Title: To authorize the City Treasurer to establish a contract with Huntington National Bank for the provision of credit card processing services for Income Tax receipts, and to authorize the expenditure of $10,000.00 from the Division of Income Tax's General Fund, and to declare an emergency. Explanation
The purpose of this ordinance is to modify Ordinance 0211-2006 for the purpose of adding a contract for credit card processing services with Huntington National Bank for the Division of Income Tax.
 
 
 
Title
 
To authorize the City Treasurer to establish a contract with Huntington National Bank for the provision of credit card processing services for Income Tax receipts, and to authorize the expenditure of $10,000.00 from the Division of Income Tax's General Fund, and to declare an emergency. ($10,000.00)
 
 
 
Body
 
Whereas, the City Treasurer has entered into a contract for credit card processing services with Huntington National Bank.
 
Whereas, as an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Division of Income Tax, as it is immediately necessary to establish a contract with Huntington National Bank for the processing of credit card services; now therefore,
 
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS
 
Section 1. That the City Treasurer is hereby authorized to establish a contract between Huntington National Bank and the Division of Income Tax for the provision of processing credit cards in the amount of $10,000.00.
 
Section 2. That the expenditure of $10,000.00 is authorized as follows:

Section 3. That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto, which is hereby made a part hereof, this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor or ten days after passage if the Mayor neither approves nor vetoes the same.
