To Recognize Jason Lewis and James Miranda for their Impact on the Youth of Columbus

WHEREAS, Eastmoor Academy coachesJason Lewis and James Miranda along with their families work in partnership with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes to guide youth in the community; and
WHEREAS, through three decades of service in the classroom and on the court, field, and track, they have positively impacted thousands of scholars and student athletes; and
WHEREAS, both Coach Lewis and Coach Miranda have served the community of Columbus as examples of excellent educators, fathers, mentors, and Godly examples; and
WHEREAS, despite the challenges and obstacles over the last few decades in our education system, our community, and even the disruption of the Covid-19 pandemic, Jason and James have continued to show up to inspire, navigate, motivate, and educate others; and
WHEREAS, these men of excellence in 2023 continue to shape the success of our current and future leaders of Columbus and should be supported and honored for the patterns and foundations that they have laid;
WHEREAS, in September 2023 coaches Jason Lewis and James Miranda have been recognized by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes for their outstanding impact on the community during the 3rd Annual Rooted in Excellence Conference; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council does hereby recognize Coach Jason Lewis and Coach James Miranda for their Impact on the Youth of Columbus.
