Explanation
Background: This ordinance authorizes the Director of Finance and Management to associate all General Budget Reservations resulting from this ordinance with the appropriate Universal Term Contract Purchase Agreements for replacement parts and services for flow monitoring equipment that is used to monitor the flow of storm water throughout the City’s sewage system.
The Division of Water Reclamation owns approximately 250 ADS Flow Meters and Rain Gauges. Services are limited to repair of equipment that is shipped to the supplier for repair, data analysis of flow data sent electronically and performed remotely, and for local on-site field services for equipment in flow monitoring manhole sites.
The Purchase Agreement associations listed require approval by City Council in order for the division to expend more than $100,000.00, per Columbus City Code Chapter 329.

Fiscal Impact: $240,000.00 is available from within the Sanitary Sewer Operating Fund. This ordinance is contingent on the passage of the 2026 Operating Budget, Ordinance 2939-2025.
