To Honor, Recognize, and Celebrate the Life of Terry Allen Hinkle and to extend our sincerest condolences to his family and friends

WHEREAS, Terry Allen Hinkle was born on March 13th, 1955, and passed away January 19th, 2026, at the age of 70, following a short but courageous battle with cancer; and
WHEREAS, born in West Virginia, Terry was the eldest of five children, and embraced this role throughout his entire life, going on to build a life centered around his family; and
WHEREAS, as a graduate of Fremont Ross High School, Terry went on to marry the love of his life, Teresa Ann Lotycz (Hinkle). Together the couple shared a devoted marriage and raised three kids; and
WHEREAS, following an honorable discharge from the Navy, Terry entered the workforce and was employed at Ford and Materion; and
WHEREAS, a lifelong lover of sports, Terry was a devoted Michigan fan who truly enjoyed bantering back and forth with Buckeyes, playing golf and watching football. In his younger years, he rarely missed his children’s activities and sporting events, and as the years went by, that dedication only grew as he was often seated early in the stands, supporting his grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, a loving husband, devoted father and proud grandpa, Terry always said what was on his mind, sometimes without a filter, but always with a full heart and unwavering passion which was unquestionably rooted in the deep love he held for his family; and
WHEREAS, loyal friend to all, Terry’s memory will be missed by those who were fortunate enough to know him. He is survived by his Mother, Janet Duncan; Wife, Teresa Hinkle; Children, Nicole Smith (Craig), Jamie Schumaker (Craig), and Aaron Hinkle; Grandchildren, Hunter Smith, Connor Smith, Grant Smith, Brooklyn Smith, Lexi Shumaker, Luke Shumaker, and Kennadi Legg; Siblings, Brenda Higgins, Rick Hinkle (Jackie), Jerry Hinkle, and Scott Hinkle (Andrika).
