Explanation
This legislation authorizes the Director of Public Utilities to renew the Division of Sewerage and Drainage’s (DOSD) membership with the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) for 2023-2024. NACWA represents the interests of the country's wastewater treatment agencies, maintains a key role in the development of environmental legislation, and works closely with federal regulatory agencies in the implementation of environmental programs. NACWA is a nationally recognized leader in environmental policy and a sought-after technical resource on water quality and ecosystem protection. The membership renewal will provide direct and timely access to this information. The membership is for one (1) year, from October 1, 2023 through September 30, 2024.
