Explanation
BACKGROUND: To change the Company Name and Federal Identification number for contract number FL003543 for the purchase of Oils and Greases for Fleet Management. This ordinance authorizes the assignment of all past, present and future business resulting from FL003543 by the City of Columbus with Circleville Oil Company, FID 314147860 to Oil Distributing Company, FID 310715158. CC# active through 5-19-10.
1. Amount of additional funds: No additional funds are necessary to modify the option contract.
2. Reason additional needs were not foreseen: Oil Distributing Company purchased Circleville Oil Company.
3. Reason other procurement processes not used: The same exact product is required as originally bid. No lower pricing/more attractive terms and conditions are anticipated through rebidding at this time.
4. How cost was determined: Terms and conditions are in accordance with the original agreement.
FISCAL IMPACT: No funds are required to modify the option contract. Fleet Management must set aside their own funding for their estimated expenditures.
In order to maintain uninterrupted services to City agencies using this Universal Term Contract, this ordinance is being submitted as an emergency.

To authorize and direct the Finance & Management Director to modify past, present and future purchase orders with Circleville Oil Company, to reflect a name change and FID number change to the company; and to declare an emergency.

WHEREAS, the Finance & Management Department/Purchasing Office established the contract with Circleville Oil Company for the option to purchase Oils and Greases; and
WHEREAS, Oil Distributing Company purchased Circleville Oil Company and the name and FID number changed, in addition to notifying the City of the change, Oil Distributing Company has agreed to honor the past, present and future purchase orders established from contract number FL003543, and
