This ordinance authorizes the City Clerk to enter a sponsorship agreement with the non-profit ULI- The Urban Land Institute (ULI) in an amount up to $25,000 for an upcoming housing forum in October, 2026. ULI is planning to host, in partnership with the City of Columbus, a full-day conference that gathers housing and development focused professionals, community and business leaders, and advocates for an event that focuses on creating and promoting sustainable, equitable, and transit-oriented development, with case studies from Columbus and peer cities across the U.S. Additionally, the conference may provide reasonable food and non-alcoholic beverages for participants. The expenditure of such items are part of ULI's standard conference operations and is hereby deemed to be a valid public purpose in that such purpose, and any expenditures are authorized in accordance with Columbus City Code Chapter 329.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funding for this grant agreement is available within the Neighborhood Initiatives subfund.
