Title: To authorize the Director of Public Utilities to contract with McDaniel's Construction Corp., Inc. for the necessary construction services; to provide for payment of testing, prevailing wage coordination, and street marking services to the Transportation Division; for costs associated with the Noe Bixby Road Culvert Replacement Project, for the Division of Sewerage and Drainage; and to authorize the expenditure of $170,762.08 from the Storm Sewer Bonds Fund; and to declare an emergency. Explanation
1. BACKGROUND:

A. Need. This legislation authorizes the Director of Public Utilities to enter into an agreement with McDaniel's Construction Corp., Inc., 1069 Woodland Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43219, for construction services; to encumber funds with the Transportation Division for testing, prevailing wage coordination and street marking services for the Noe Bixby Road Culvert Replacement Project, in the amount of $170,762.08.

B. Bid Information. The projects were advertised in the City Bulletin on December 14, and December 21, 2002. Nine bids were received on January 8, 2003, as follows:
