To Honor and Recognize the Heroism of East High School Coach Mike Bell.

WHEREAS, Coach Mike Bell heroically jumped into action when one of his East High School players was shot and injured, providing immediate assistance during a critical moment; and
WHEREAS, Coach Bell is a Columbus City Schools graduate who has dedicated more than twenty years to working with young people and coaching sports; and
WHEREAS, Coach Bell was named the Coach of the Year at the Central Ohio School Sports Award in 2022, and
WHEREAS, Coach Bell was also a standout student-athlete and was inducted into the Ohio Dominican University Hall of Fame for basketball in 2017 and
WHEREAS, Coach Bell has been recognized by his players and students as an important role model and a positive influence in their lives, now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS
