Explanation
1. BACKGROUND:
This legislation authorizes modifying the construction management services agreement with H.R. Gray & Associates, Inc., in order to provide funding for the services required to successfully administer the Sewer Maintenance Operations Center Renovations Project. This ordinance also requests an amendment to the 2002 Capital Improvements Budget for purposes of providing sufficient budget authority for this contract modification.
2. PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT MODIFICATION AWARD:
This original agreement was established for purposes of providing the Division of Sewerage and Drainage with construction administration services for complex projects within the Division's capital improvements plan, that cannot be accomplished by city personnel. This modification is a planned, continuation of these contract services, and is immediately necessary to allow for the commencement of this facility renovation project. The contract total including this modification is $12,875,229.05. The cost of these services is consistent with those provided for under the existing contract.
