Explanation
BACKGROUND: The Hap Cremean Water Plant existing settling basin clarifier units have been in continuous operation for over 33 years. This contract provides for the replacement of this equipment to eliminate further deterioration and downtime.
The procurement of this contract was conducted in accordance with Section 329.09.
Competitive bids were received and opened at the office of the Director of Public Utilities on January 15, 2003. Of the five (5) bids received, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder was The Righter Company, Inc.
