Explanation
1. Background
To authorize the Director of the Department of Public Service to execute those documents necessary for the City to grant encroachment easements to OhioHealth Corporation to allow foundation, monument signs, and wall to extend into the public right-of-way.

The City of Columbus, Department of Public Service, received a request from OhioHealth Corporation, owner of the site, asking that the City allow foundation, monument signs, and wall to extend into the public right-of-way. The items will extend into E. Chapel Street, E. Town Street, and E. State Street. This project is located around property located at 277 E. State Street Parcel 010-051443. This project is a new building for Grant Trauma and Critical Care Center on the south side of East State Street that will be replacing the existing building. These encroachments are located within the easements as described below and within the attached exhibits. The following legislation authorizes the Director of the Department of Public Service to execute those documents necessary for the City to grant these encroachments to legally allow them to extend into the public rights-of-way. Allowing these elements to extend into the public right-of-way will allow the building proficiently and safely operate as a Trauma and Critical Care Center. A value of $500.00 for the encroachment easements was established.

2. Fiscal Impact
The City will receive a total of $500.00, to be deposited in Fund 7748, Project P537650, for granting the requested encroachments.
