Explanation

M/I SCHOTTENSTEIN HOMES, INC., an Ohio corporation, by STEPHEN M. CAPLINGER, Vice President Land Operations, has submitted the plat titled DARBY POINTE to the City Engineer's Office for review and approval. This plat has been reviewed and approved by the City Engineer. The following legislation allows the City to accept said plat for property located off of Wilson Road south of Trabue Road.

To accept the plat titled DARBY POINTE, from M/I SCHOTTENSTEIN HOMES, INC., an Ohio corporation, by STEPHEN M. CAPLINGER, Vice President Land Operations and to declare an emergency.

Body

WHEREAS, the plat titled DARBY POINTE (hereinafter "plat"), has been submitted to the City Engineer's Office for approval and acceptance; and

WHEREAS, after examination, it has been found to be in the best interest of the City to accept said plat; and now, therefore

WHEREAS, an emergency existss in the usual daily operation of the Department of Public Service in that it is immediately necessary to pass this ordinance as an emergency measure because of the need to record the plat at about the same time the construction ends. This would expedite the sale of the lots and allow for the submittal of building permits for new home construction for the preservation of the public health, peace, property, safety, and welfare; now therefore

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

Section 1. That the plat titled DARBY POINTE on file in the office of the City Engineer, Transportation Division, be and the same is hereby accepted.

Section 2. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law. That for the reasons stated in the preamble hereto, which is hereby made a part hereof, this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure and shall take effect and be in force from and after its passaage and approval by the Mayor, or ten days after passage if the Mayor neither approves...
