- Bids were received by the Recreation and Parks Department on June 17, 2004, for the Lazelle Woods Community Center Project, as follows:

- The Contract Compliance Number for RWS Building Company, is #31-0836188.
- A contingency amount of $400,000.00 is being included in this project.
- The approximate cost of Recreation and Parks staff time on this project is $20,000.00 (04-017).
- Emergency action is necessary as community is expecting a summer ground breaking and contractor has been instructed they will have authority to begin project in August, 2004.

WHEREAS, bids were received by the Recreation and Parks Department on June 17, 2004, and the contract for the Lazelle Community Center Project will be awarded on the basis of the lowest and best responsive and responsible bidder; and

WHEREAS, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Recreation and Parks Department in that it is immediately necessary to enter into said contract for the preservation of public health, peace, property and safety as the community is expecting...
