Explanation
Background: There is a need to transfer $ 2,000 between subfunds within the Area Commission Fund to provide monies in the proper subfunds for the 2007 funding of area commissions. Ordinance No. 0315-2007 appropriated $36,000 in the Area Commission Fund for operating expenses but an additional transfer of funds is needed in order to provide cash in the Near East Area Commission subfund.
Fiscal Impact: The legislation transfers $2,000.00 between subfunds within the Area Commission Fund to provide monies in the proper subfunds for the 2007 funding of area commissions.
Emergency action is requested so that payments to the Area Commissions can be made immediately.

To authorize and direct the City Auditor to transfer $2,000.00 between subfunds within the Area Commission Fund to provide monies in the proper subfunds for the 2007 funding of area commissions; and to declare an emergency. ($2,000.00)

Whereas, it is necessary to transfer funds within the Area Commission Fund and between subfunds to provide monies in the proper subfunds for the 2007 funding of area commissions; and
Whereas, these monies are needed to fund minor operating expenses for the Near East Area Commission; and
Whereas, an emergency exists in the usual daily operation of the Department of Development in that it is immediately necessary to authorize the transfer all for the preservation of the public health, peace, safety, and welfare; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
Section 1. That the City Auditor is hereby authorized and directed to transfer cash in the amount of $2,000.00 as follows within the Area Commission Fund, Fund 221:
