Title
To recognize and congratulate Dorothy Fischer on the occasion of her 90th Birthday.
Body
WHEREAS, Dorothy Fischer was a founding member of the German Village Society in 1960 and has been a tenacious community activist and a devoted historic preservationist for over four decades; and,
WHEREAS, Ms. Fischer's spirit of volunteerism has inspired a new generation to invest time, talent, and resources into the German Village neighborhood; and,
WHEREAS, Dorothy Fischer's leadership in the German Village Society and the German Village Garten Club has been an invaluable gift to the community; and,
WHEREAS, Dorothy Fischer celebrates her 90th birthday on May 3, 2004; and,
WHEREAS, Ms. Fischer's countless contributions to German Village are remembered with tremendous admiration and appreciation, now; therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That it does hereby recognize and congratulate Dorothy Fischer on the occasion of the 90th birthday.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be presented to Dorothy Fischer.
