Explanation
BACKGROUND: Council adopted a Land Reutilization Program (ORC5722) by Ordinance 2161-93 to facilitate effective reutilization of nonproductive land and buildings within the City's boundaries and to foster either the return of such land to tax revenue generating status or retention for public use. These properties are held and managed in the Land Bank until prepared to be sold. In order to have an effective Land Reutilization Program it is necessary from time to time to acquire other vacant and underutilized properties. This transfer of property will be done by virtue of deeds, which will be recorded in the Official Records of the County Recorder's Office.
FISCAL IMPACT: No funding is required for this legislation. The maintenance of this parcel will be provided by the Environmental Blight Abatement unit.
