Attachments: 1. 0499-2026

Explanation

This legislation authorizes the payment of $7,622.75 for paid time off and benefits that has accumulated in excess of the maximum amount established by the salary ordinance for MCP employees.

Mark Carter has been required to work on a variety of IT projects and to provide critically-needed technical support for Columbus City Council, including at Council meetings, public hearings, and community events. The work demands have meant that Mr. Carter was unable to utilize accrued PTO.

Fiscal Impact: Funds are available in the 2026 proposed budget for these payments.

This ordinance is contingent on passage of the 2026 General Fund Operating Budget, Ordinance 2938-2025.
