Explanation
This legislation authorizes the Director of Public Utilities to modify and extend a contract for Security Guard Services for the Sewer Maintenance Operations Center within the Division of Sewerage and Drainage with U.S. Security Associates Incorporated.
Security Guard Services are required at the Sewer Maintenance Operations Center twenty-four (24) hours per day. Ordinance number 0053-03, passed February 3, 2003 authorized the extension of the contract until May 31, 2004. The contract allows for five (5) extensions. The Division of Sewerage and Drainage desires to extend the contract for a fifth year, from May 31, 2004 to and including May 31, 2005 with an increase from $14.89 per billing hour to $15.49 per billing hour, a 4% increase per the terms of the contract. The Division of Sewerage and Drainage wishes to increase the contract by $119,600.00.
