To honor and recognize the Greater Hilltop League for the Arts and the 2007 Fall Art Exhibit "Fall at the Hall."

Whereas, the Greater Hilltop Area League for the Arts was founded in 1990 to promote and encourage the creation and appreciation of all forms of artistic expression in the Greater Hilltop area; and
Whereas, the Greater Hilltop Area League for the Arts holds month-long juried and judged exhibits throughout the Greater Columbus area each year to provide an opportunity for artists working in two dimensional arts such as painting and photography to display and market their work; and
Whereas, the Greater Hilltop Area League for the Arts is proud to be hosting its 2007 Fall Exhibit "Fall at the Hall" at historic Columbus City Hall during the month of November; and
Whereas, "Fall at the Hall" Exhibit Chair Joe Decker and members of the Greater Hilltop Area League for the Arts Board of Trustees will host an artist reception the evening of November 5, 2007 at City Hall; and
Whereas, The Greater Hilltop Area League for the Arts believes the "Arts are For Everyone" and is working with other community groups to bring about the Hilltop Renaissance: now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That the Columbus City Council honors and recognizes recognize the Greater Hilltop League for the Arts and the 2007 Fall Art Exhibit "Fall at the Hall," and furthermore congratulates the Greater Hilltop Area League for the Arts on 17 years of promoting and encouraging the arts in the Greater Hilltop Area.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be presented to the Greater Hilltop League for the Arts with our esteem.
