To Honor and Recognize the Sponsors of the Seniors Community Health Fair for Their Dedication to Serving the Senior Population of Franklin County

WHEREAS, the Franklin County Commissioners and the Office on Aging, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated Columbus(OH)Alumnae Chapter of Delta D.E.A.R.S., the Women2Women Organization, and the Columbus City Council have come together to sponsor the 2025 Seniors Community Health Fair, which will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the FRAN Senior Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, these organizations have demonstrated a shared commitment to addressing the growing needs of seniors across Franklin County, particularly those living at or below the poverty line, who face increasing challenges related to housing, healthcare, trauma, eviction, food insecurity, and overall well-being; and
WHEREAS, the Seniors Community Health Fair will empower older adults by providing access to critical resources related to physical and mental health, caregiving, safety, housing, nutrition, and more, ensuring that our senior population is seen, empowered, supported, and uplifted; and
WHEREAS, this critical work would not be possible without the leadership, compassion, and commitment of countless organizations to enhancing the lives of seniors in our community through the 2025 Seniors Community Health Fair, including county and municipal agencies, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated Columbus (OH) Alumnae Chapter of Delta D.E.A.R.S., the Women2Women Organization.
WHEREAS, the City of Columbus are proud to sponsor and support this critical initiative, affirming the city’s commitment to the health and dignity of Columbus’s aging residents; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS: That this Council hereby honors and recognizes the sponsors of the Seniors Community Health Fair for their dedication to serving the senior population of Franklin County.
