This ordinance authorizes the City Clerk to enter into a grant agreement with The Gladden Community House, a non-profit corporation, to sponsor the organization’s Marching for More 2025 event.
Marching for More is Gladden Community House’s annual fundraising gala, which produces crucial funds that sustain the agency's multiple community programs that serve more than 15,000 low-income families annually. For many years, The Ohio State University Marching Band has teamed up with The Gladden Community House to host Marching for More, an evening of celebration to raise awareness and vital funds for Gladden’s work on behalf of children and families in Franklinton. Partnering through tradition, music and community service, this annual event with The Ohio State University Marching Band has helped Gladden raise millions of dollars in support of Gladden’s life-impacting work and mission. Council’s support of the 2025 event will help to advance Gladden’s critical work in the community and increase the number of residents served through an array of programs.
Fiscal Impact: Funding is available within the Neighborhood Initiatives subfund.
