Explanation
BACKGROUND: The Board of Health has been awarded $3,506,045.00 in grant funds from the Ohio Department of Health to fund the Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program for the period October 1, 2003 through September 30, 2004. The Ohio Department of Health has provided $116,644 for the lease of real property to be used as clinic space for the WIC Program. The WIC and Immunization Programs share clinic space at 1120 Morse Road.

Emergency action is requested in order to avoid any delays in providing program services.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funding for a portion of the Four-D Holdings contract is included in the 2003 budget for the Immunization Program from the Health Special Revenue Fund. Additionally, appropriation for the WIC Program from the Health Department Grants Fund is available for the remainder of this contract. The other two contracts cited above are entirely funded by the grant. This grant does not generate revenue or require a City match.
