Explanation
This legislation authorizes the Director of Finance and Management to establish a blanket purchase order for the Division of Sewerage and Drainage, to obtain Flygt Pump and Mixer Parts and Services in accordance with an established Universal Term Contract.
The parts are used for routine repairs and rehabilitation of flygt pump parts at the Southerly Wastewater Treatment Plant and Jackson Pike Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Parts required will be obtained in accordance with the existing Universal Term Contract (FL004348) which expires on August 31, 2011. Legislation is being processed due to the fact that the Division of Sewerage and Drainage has certified $100,000.00 during this current fiscal year and the amount requested will exceed the threshold allowed without legislation for Universal Term Contracts. An additional $25,000 was approved with the passage of Ordinance #0425-2010 on April 14, 2010 for the Southerly Wastewater Treatment Plant. It has now been determined that an additional $50,000.00 needs to be established for the Southerly Wastewater Treatment Plant and $10,000.00 for the Jackson Pike Wastewater Treatment Plant.

The company is not debarred according to the Excluded Party Listing System of the Federal Government or prohibited from being awarded a contract according to the Auditor of State Unresolved Findings for Recovery Certified Search.
FISCAL IMPACT: $60,000.00 is budgeted and needed for this current purchase request. The Division has already certified $100,000.00 during the current year without legislation.
