Explanation
Background: Ordinance No. 1495-2010, passed November 11, 2010, authorizing the City Attorney to acquire certain property rights, and to expend monies in connection with the Scioto Trail Bikeway Land Acquisition Project. The original amount of funding made available for this project was done so with the understanding that additional monies may be needed at a later date. Additional funding is available in the Recreation and Parks Voted Bond Fund. It is now necessary to establish a separate Auditor's Certificate to expend the aforementioned monies for payment of acquisition costs in connection with the Scioto Trail Land Acquisition Project.
Fiscal Impact: The Recreation and Parks Department, has determined funding for this project will be from the Recreation and Parks Bond Fund.
Emergency Justification: Emergency action is requested to allow acquisition activities to begin as soon as possible as not to delay the completion of the delay.

To authorize the City Attorney to acquire fee simple title and lesser interests, contract for professional services, and to expend $29,500.00 from the Recreation and parks Bond Fund for costs in connection with the Scioto Trail Land Acquisition Project, and to declare an emergency. ($29,500.00).

WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1495-2010, passed November 11, 2011, authorizing the City Attorney to acquire certain property rights, and to expend monies in connection with the Scioto Trail Acquisition Project; and
WHEREAS, the original amount of funding made available for this project was done so with the understanding that additional monies may be needed at a later date; and
