To recognize Homes On The Hill (HOTH), Community Development Corp. and to declare June as National Homeownership Month in the City of Columbus.

WHEREAS, HOTH was awarded the Ohio CDC of the Year award (Mature Category) by the Ohio CDC Association in September of 2006; and
WHEREAS, Homes On The Hill received the Program Excellence Award (Winner Central Ohio Under 50 employee category) from the Ohio Association of Non-Profit Organizations (OANO) for the Hilltop East/Habitat New Construction project; and
WHEREAS, HOTH was a finalist for the Better Business Bureau non-profit Integrity Awards (Under 50 employee category) in 2006; and
WHEREAS, HOTH was the finalist for the OANO Program Excellence Award in 2007 for the Latino Outreach and Homeownership project; and
WHEREAS, Homes On The Hill was Co Winner of the United Way's Champions of
Diversity Award for 2007; now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:
That this Council does hereby recognize Homes On The Hill (HOTH), Community Development Corp. and declare June to be National Homeownership Month in the City of Columbus.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolution be presented to Stephen Torsell, Executive Director of Homes On The Hills as a token of our high esteem.
