Title

To recognize the 5^th annual Experience Columbus Days from October 10-13, 2008.

Body

WHEREAS, Experience Columbus Days encourages locals to see Columbus the way visitors do and entices out-of-town visitors to experience the city; and

WHEREAS, as part of the fifth annual Experience Columbus Days, residents and visitors can save as much as 50 percent on attractions and events from October 10-13, 2008; and

WHEREAS, a 25 percent discount will be offered by the more than 40 members of Dine Originals Columbus, a group of independently owned and operated restaurants and one of several chapters of Dine Originals America; and

WHEREAS, during the 2007 Experience Columbus Days, more than 15,000 people, including visitors from 21 states, visited participating attractions and used the promotional discount; now, therefore

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

That we do hereby recognize the 5^th annual Experience Columbus Days celebration and encourage the community to "Come Play in our Backyard".
