Explanation

Background:
This legislation will authorize the Director of Recreation and Parks to modify the contract with Security Risk Management Consultants, Inc. for additional consulting and related services to include the Whetstone Recreation Center in the initial assessment process associated with the Closed Circuit Television Systems (CCTV's).

The original contract authorized consulting and related services for the assessment, design and equipment specifications associated with Closed Circuit Television Systems for twelve (12) of the Department's Recreation Centers. This legislation will authorize an increase in the original contract, EL007848, for additional assessment services for the Whetstone Recreation Center and will include all scope activities per the original contract. It is in the best interest of the Department to include the Whetstone Recreation Center in the assessment at this time so that it coincides with the Center's renovation project.

The original contract amount was $19,250.00. The amount of this modification request is $1,600.00 bringing the total modified cost of the contract to $20,850.00.

Emergency action is requested so that the assessment can be done in conjunction with the Center's renovation project.
