Explanation
1. Background: This ordinance will provide the City Attorney with the estimated, additional funds required to continue acquiring fee simple title and lesser interests, and for payment of acquisition costs in connection with the Big Walnut Outfall Sewer System Capacity Augmentation, Part 1 Project, and the Big Walnut Augmentation/Rickenbacker Sanitary Interceptor Project.

2. Emergency Designation: The Division of Sewerage and Drainage is requesting City Council to declare this an emergency measure in order to facilitate the procurement of the required easements for the aforementioned projects. The City Attorney's Real Estate Section has successfully concluded negotiations for several parcels, and has an immediate need for the additional funds that are necessary to conclude the required legal transactions. The procurement of the easements are a condition for a timely award of the Big Walnut Augmentation/Rickenbacker Sanitary Interceptor Project.
