Explanation
BACKGROUND
This ordinance authorizes the Director of the Department of Technology to renew a contract with GovConnection, Inc. dba Connection Public Sector Solutions for Autodesk software subscriptions and technical support on behalf of the Departments of Public Service (DPS), Building and Zoning Services (BZS), and Public Utilities (DPU).
Autodesk software is used for mapping and to create and/or update shop drawings and architectural plans, making it easier for DPS and DPU to share data with customers, agencies, consultants, and other parties with whom they interact. This ordinance will enable these departments to continue receiving updated versions of Autodesk software and access technical support for their software.
Ordinance 0327-2022 authorized the Director of the Department of Technology to enter into contract for the Autodesk software subscriptions and technical support in the amount of $123,633.24. The original contract was established and authorized by Ordinance 0327-2022, passed on March 21, 2022, and included three additional one-year renewal options. Ordinance 0674-2023 authorized the first renewal in the amount of $131,577.74. Ordinance 0444-2024 authorized the second renewal in the amount of $144,327.58 for a term of one year, starting on April 1, 2024, and ending on March 31, 2025.
This ordinance authorizes the third and final renewal at a total cost $138,259.26 for a period of twelve (12) months, starting on April 1, 2025, and ending on March 31, 2026.

This ordinance also authorizes the expenditure of $138,259.26 for the above-described purpose.
