BACKGROUND: This ordinance authorizes the Board of Health to accept and implement a nine-month No-Cost Extension from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the CDC Health Disparities Grant for a new grant period of June 01, 2021 to February 29, 2024 and to modify the existing contracts with nine (9) Not for Profit vendors for the CDC Health Disparities Grant.
The Community Shares of Mid-Ohio dba The Art Mobile, Making a Difference, Maroon Arts Group, Bhutanese-Nepali Community of Columbus, 1DivineLine2Health, and The Ohio State University will have their contract terms extended from an end date of May 31, 2023 to a new end date of February 29, 2024.
The Family, Adolescent & Child Community Engagement Service will have their contract increased in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00, for a new contract amount of $75,000.00, and their contract term extended from an end date of May 31, 2023 to a new end date of February 29, 2024.
Riverview International Center will have their contract increased in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00, for a new contract amount of $75,000.00, and their contract term extended from an end date of May 31, 2023 to a new end date of February 29, 2024.
Proyecto Mariposas will have their contract increased in an amount not to exceed $20,000.00 for a new contract amount of $69,500.00, and their contract term extended from an end date of May 31, 2023 to a new end date of February 29, 2024.
The increased expenditures for these contract modifications will total $70,000.00. All are Not for Profit vendors and are therefore exempt from contract compliance requirements.
Columbus Public Health entered into these contracts using funds from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to address COVID-19 and other health disparities in local under-served communities.
