To Honor, Recognize, and Life of Commissioner Greg Nutter

WHEREAS, Gregory “Greg” R Nutter at age 68, passed away surrounded by his family and loved ones on Sunday, April 27, 2025; and

 

WHEREAS, born June 29, 1956 in Youngstown, Ohio to Robert W Nutter and the late Nona F (Ford) Nutter; and

 

WHEREAS, he started his career at Gregory’s of Granville, a Gift Shop and Framing Business for many years. During this time, Greg also started his retail career in Management with Meijer where he retired after several years working in several store locations; and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Nutter was a 27 year resident of Clintonville and a pillar of his community, he was involved with the Clintonville Historical Society, his street association, as well as attending and participating in CAC, committee meetings and city focused meetings helping revise the zoning code as a commissioner; and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Nutter enjoyed his life while living in Clintonville with Michael and their golden retrievers and was known for his love of Christmas by having several beautifully decorated Christmas Trees each year. He had a great passion for his community as well and became a Clintonville Area Commissioner for District 2 to be the “voice” of his neighborhood; and

 

WHEREAS, Mr. Nutter is survived by his husband, Michael Ranney and their devoted golden retriever, Bailey; his father, Robert Nutter; his sister, Gail Betts (Mike) his aunt, Ann Bradburn (Gene); his uncle, Tom Nutter (Beverly) and several cousins. Greg was predeceased by his mother, Nona Nutter; his infant sister, Cora and his maternal and paternal grandparents and several aunts and uncles and cousins; now, therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLUMBUS:

That this Council does hereby honor, recognize, and celebrate the life of Gregory “Greg” R Nutter and extends our sincerest condolences to his family, loved ones and friends.
