Explanation
Background: This ordinance authorizes The Public Service Director to enter into an agreement with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) for the reconstruction of the curbs and sidewalks on Hudson Street over I-71, lying within the City of Columbus. Specifically the bridge deck and sidewalks will be patched with concrete, the existing asphalt patches on the sidewalks will be removed, and the entire area will be cleaned.
Emergency action is requested in order to meet ODOT's schedule and have this work completed this year. In order to do this, the agreement needs to be returned to ODOT at which time the construction will begin.
Fiscal Impact: The estimated cost of construction for this project is $30,000.00. The total share of the cost for the City is $15,000.00. Funds for the City's share of this project are available due to encumbrance cancellations for completed projects within the 1995, 1999, 2004 Voted Streets and Highways Fund.
